A furnished one-bedroom guest cottage in the Augusta Road neighborhood, about a mile from Falls Park.

A small house of its own, in a big garden.

The cottage sits behind our 1925 home on Faris Road. It was the detached garage, and we rebuilt it as a full guest house with its own entrance, a vaulted den, a real kitchen and a loft bedroom upstairs.

It opens onto a screened porch and a garden with fig trees, and it's close to the shops, restaurants and grocery on Augusta Road. Our longest guests stayed more than a year while they renovated a condo downtown. They're glad to talk with you as a reference.

It's also an easy place to land if you're renovating a home in the neighborhood and want to stay steps from Augusta Circle while the work gets done.

$3,000 / month

Six months or longer, fully furnished. For stays of 30 nights up to six months, email us your dates and we'll quote a direct rate. Booking direct costs less than Airbnb because there are no platform fees.

Good to know

Stays, leases and what we look for

Minimum stay
30 nights. City of Greenville rules don't allow shorter rentals here.
Taxes
Stays shorter than 90 days include South Carolina and City of Greenville accommodations taxes.
Leases of six months or more
Income of at least three times the rent and a credit score of 700 or higher for each adult, with two years of on-time rent or mortgage payments.
Move-in costs
For leases, first month's rent plus a security deposit of two months' rent.
Pets
By approval only. Assistance animals are welcome and are not charged pet fees.
Smoking
Not allowed anywhere on the property.

Leases include the federal lead-based paint disclosure and EPA pamphlet, since the property dates to 1925. Full rental criteria are available on request.
